SUMMARY:A Service of Night Prayer
DESCRIPTION:\nWe warmly invite you to join us as we end the day in prayer. Compline is an ancient form of prayer and derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day.\n\n\n\nIf you would like to have the text of the service we use in order to follow the service we recommend using the Church of England ‘Daily Prayer‘ App. This is available in the Apple App Store as well as Google Play. Click here ( https://www.churchofengland.org/prayer-and-worship/join-us-service-daily-prayer ) for full details.\n\n\n\nWe generally go live a few minutes before we begin at 8.30pm to give us all time to join and to enter in to a time of quiet before we begin. The service is lead throughout and we pause for a time of silent prayer, as we reflect on the past day, and then invite prayers, via the ‘comment’ section on Facebook, tater in the service. We ask that if we prayer for any individual that we simply use their first name or initials.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to spending this time in prayer together.\n
