2009 Stars Christmas funday

Friday, 08 January 2010 12:47

A cold, frosty morning provided a suitable Christmassy feel to the start of our Funday this year.  51 children enjoyed the Christmas story re-told through a mad mix of songs, crafts, puppets, silliness with jelly babies and rounded off with a film served with popcorn and ice-cream.

Dangerous Club for Boys Airfix Nov 2009

Friday, 01 January 2010 00:00

The November DC4B meeting was all about airplanes - building Airfix models and building and flying paper planes.  Dads passed on their favourite paper plane designs like family heirlooms and the competition got serious.  We had a visit from the local press and of course, we all had fun which was the main aim.

Global Gang 2009

Monday, 07 September 2009 00:00

Our 2009 Global Gang – Operation: Neighbourhood - involved masses of fun and some pretty cool stuff in the community. Whilst the Infant school aged groups put on a tea concert for the elderly in the village, the Juniors attacked Windlesham’s rubbish in a huge litter pick.  Well done to all who came and to the team who helped.

Dangerous Club for Boys May 2009

Monday, 18 May 2009 00:00

We had our first meeting of the Dangerous Club for Boys on Sunday 10th May 2009 and what fun we had.  The club is for lads and dads aged 5-105 and we started off with an afternoon of Scalectrix and pizza.  We decided we’d try to get together every half-term and came up with a whole range of things we’d like to get up to – here’s the list:

  • Water and air rockets
  • Archery
  • Climbing wall
  • Geo-caching
  • Giant catapults/trebuchets
  • Canoes/kayaks/raft building
  • Cricket
  • Shelter building / camp craft
  • Make your own cross-bow/long-bow
  • Air-rifle shooting
  • Making a potato canon

So if you think the Dangerous Club is your sort of fun and might be where you’d like to spend some quality time with your lad/dad then keep an eye on the web-site for updates and the date of our next meeting.
