Toddler Praise

Toddler Praise is a fun, lively and informal time for pre-school children and their parents/carers. We gather together for a time of singing, to share a simple Bible story and enjoy a craft activity. There is then time for the children to play, have a drink and snack while the rest of us chat over coffee/tea and refreshments.

We meet during term time twice a month on a Friday morning from 10.00am to 11.15am in the Almond Room, St John’s Link and would love to see you whenever you are able to join us. Take a look here to check the dates for 2012.

Christmas Funday - Presents

Why not come along to Presents our Christmas Funday on Sat 18th December 2010 10:00-3:00pm? We'll have a huge amount of fun while we explore the Christmas story through presents. There'll be a great mix of games, craft, daft challenges, music and goo. So if you're in Reception - Year 6, get your parents to book you in now!

2010 CRE 8 TVT

CRE 8 TVT (that’s Creativity!) was the theme of this year’s Global Gang and we explored how we are made like God as creative people, and our challenge is to use our creativity for the good of others. Both the fantastic group of children and leaders had great fun doing craft, junk modelling, singing songs, watching puppets and films and lots of games.

There was a fair amount of goo involved as usual during our Just For Fun slot and this seemed to go down particularly well at the Global Gang service on Sunday morning. The BBQ on Sunday lunchtime for all the Global Gangers and families was a real treat and the rain that was promised stayed away.

Big Toddle 2010

On Wednesday 16th June Ma’Mites took part in The Big Toddle, a short sponsored walk in aid of Barnardo’s. Barnardo’s Early Years team work with disadvantaged and vulnerable under 5’s in local projects throughout the UK.

Our Ma’mites toddlers, having first made their pirate hats, took their carers for a walk around the church grounds and arrived back at the St. John’s Hall for refreshments. We raised a total of £168 for this worthy cause. Many thanks to all our parents, carers and toddlers who took part.

2009 Stars Christmas funday

A cold, frosty morning provided a suitable Christmassy feel to the start of our Funday this year. 51 children enjoyed the Christmas story re-told through a mad mix of songs, crafts, puppets, silliness with jelly babies and rounded off with a film served with popcorn and ice-cream.
