The Parochial Church Council governs the life and ministry of the Church.
Together with the incumbent, it is responsible for:
- Church finances
- Fabric and care of the Church
- Conduct of worship
- The pastoral support and mission of the Church
The remit for the PCC is a very wide one. For instance, the Diocese often ask PCCs to formulate opinions on matters of common interest to the Church.
The current practice is for the PCC to be more generally involved in developing pastoral practice and matters of policy, while much of the ongoing work is done through sub-committees.
If you have particular issues relevant to the Church that you would like to be raised at the PCC, members of the Church and Parish are welcome to bring them to the attention of PCC members.
