Parochial Church Council PCC
The Parochial Church Council, or PCC, has a broad remit and, together with the Rector, is responsible for the Church finances, the fabric and care of the Church, the conduct of worship as well as the pastoral support and mission of the Church.
Each year, the PCC publishes a costed Vision document, setting out the priorities for the coming twelve months. The current vision has an overarching theme of:
Belonging Together, Belonging to God
Gathering, nurturing, sending
To learn more about this and how this translates into specific action and detail, read the Vision and Budget 2009.
As well as meetings once a month, the PCC look to have an Away Day each year: a time to retreat from the usual busyness of day-to-day life, to reflect on the task of leading the Church and how to move forward.
Current members of the PCC are listed here.
If you have an issue that you’d like raised at the PCC meeting, please let us know by contacting us at the Parish Office. We will aim to have the minutes of each meeting available here shortly.
Elections to the PCC take place each year at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and anyone on our Electoral roll for more than six months is eligible to stand. Any worshipper from within or outside of the Parish is able to join the Electoral Roll but will not be eligible to vote at an APCM if this takes place within two weeks of joining. Full details of membership rules can be found here.
